Hello Farmers
I would like to share with you some pictures, kindly take a look at them and let me know if they have any problem.. I am still learning about the system (Hydroponic) [There are all HYDRO not AQUA]..
I have these symptoms, not sure if they are real problem or I am imaging: 1- Yesterday I left the door in my balcony (where the setup is located) open, and the outside degree was around 50F/11C! I came back and found some tomato leafs are curled! Is this is the cause? 2- I have two grow beds that have tomato, eggplan, pepers in them. I have heard that I should not mix.. Is that right? 3- I have some plants that have excellent roots (getting bigger) and they have around 10 cm down from the net pot.. Other plants are not even showing their roots from the netpots.. and the leafs color for the later are green-yellow! 4- My Aquaponics plants (tomatto) are much bigger than the Hydroponics ones, and they look more healthy! Does that mean I have a problem in my Hydroponics? 5- As shown below, my pepper leafs are burned (very few ones only),, why is that? 6- My system is based on dripping system, where I have a dipper to each plant.. they used to drip water continuously 24/7; but I felt that the leaf is very fragile and kind of thin! So, I have made it drip 15 minutes each hour.. Is this ok?
7- My tomato flower keep drying out (as per the image below),, what is the cause of that? In case I need to switch my hydroponics to Aquaponics, what should I do? shall I get rid of all my Hydro plants and clean off the system/ sterilize it and then connect it to Aquaponics? Or just get rid of the Hydroponic water and then connect to the Aquaponic water?
It looks like Aquaponic is much harder to startup but easier to maintain once you have the system cycled.. but Hydroponic is a pain in the back! I am not sure!
Appreciate your help Rami
