Iv`e been thinking of starting an additional grow bed to the one I have (120cm x 105 cm) but I`m not too sure what I should plant.

Or

Should have pipes instead of a grow bed going around the grow bed.

Edit: Can I plant seeds straight into the system or would the nitrates be too much?

http://www.gardenate.com will tell you what can be planted now

Yes you can put seeds directly into the growbeds. Small seeds just sprinkle , larger seeds like beans and peas sprinkle then rub over the gravel so the seeds sink in a bit

I have not had a lot of success with seeding the grow bed. A couple of plants come up but the strike rate is maybe 1/50.
My neighbors birdseed that is tipped out of the feed trays over their balcony seems to have a good strike rate though

Haha, I think you might be on to something there..

Tell me oh great one, how do I find the path of eternal seed raising enlightenment ? ;)

I just plant in seed raising mix in seed trays sitting in a container of AP water. Then I plant the seedlings out in the GB and 3-4 days later the rats come and eat them all.
Then the great cycle of SVs AP journey repeats....

If you have rats they are probably digging out the seeds in the growbeds
