there was a doco with David Attenborough about plants. things like blackberry vines would swing left and right over a time laps. this is it's way of finding things to climb. don't know about other plants.

i have a logan berry vine and it's being growing towards the door at 5+cm a day until a couple of days ago when it reached the door and got cutoff when i shut it! as big as they get i don't see a reason to be afraid of plants. unless they are Triffids. nobody ever try and grow Triffids!!!!
