This lake is right next to where the landfill site is and if FULL of heavy metals. Avoid.

Yeah man, very toxic. You can imagine all the heavy metals from the batteries, electronic equipment etc that was dump there for years and years. I may have found a new yabbie spot a lot closer to home. Gonna test it on the weekend but I know there are yabbies in the old Ballajura lakes near Illawarra Primary as we used to catch them there as kids

The only thing that made me think it was reasonably safe was the overabundance of frogs there. Its almost deafening at night.
I have been thinking about checking out the infamous lakes after hearing about koi, giant goldfish and bunyips living there. Now the chance of yabbies too im unfortunately going to have to take a stroll with a torch and a handfull of chook pellets now.

Shouldn't be hard to find SF - check any of the water bodies around the place.

I've seen it at Lake Leschenaultia and I regularly pick some up from the little lakes/ponds scattered throughout Belmont when I'm passing through.
