Hi Everyone,
I've been a long-time lurker, decided to build my first system, and I've run in to some issues lately.

Some backstory:
3 weeks ago, the hose from my tank got loose in my house and dumped 10 gallons of water on my carpet, nearly emptying the entire system. In an effort so save my fish and plants, I ran to the store and bought 6 gallons of distilled water and refilled the entire system. Since that lovely day, I've been keeping a close eye on my plants and fish. The pH has remained at about 7.2, and the ammonia levels have been fine. Dissolved solids are around 360-380 PPM. In addition, I added some seaweed extract to try and get some nutrients going again. Despite the stability of the system, all of my plants are in dire straits, and are exhibiting fairly random symptoms:

Pea - Oldest leaves are crumbling, and newer growth is bleaching.
Peppers - All leaves are curling up, but there is not much change in color. Maybe a little darkening.
Basil - Black spots are appearing, and the leaf edges look dried out.

My hypothesis is that the trace nutrients that were in the original water were diluted out by the distilled water, so it's a case of several nutrients missing. What are your thoughts?

looks like your water levels might be coming up to high.. at the "flood" stage, your water level should only come up to about an inch below the media surface..splashing water/excess moisture on the leaves can cause a couple of the problems shown

What specific symptoms appear to be splash/moisture-related? Forgive me for my ignorance...
