There is another you tube link to a massive tank (I mean 50 metre pool type massive)filled with these somewhere in Asia, it had a central solids removal bed of some kind. There was a lot of discussion about it on the other thread, Rup might remember where it was or have it saved.

Whilst not as nice as theres, certainly makes it more aesthetically pleasing

Do they have to be all bunched together or can you spread them out? Say by leaving the centre raft out of each hexagonal ring? Then you get more coverage and as the plants get bigger they won't be so crowded.
