Thanks Guys, Mr Hopefull wont let us have any chooks so that idea is gone, and cause our kids are big (only one left a home) we no longer need the rabbits. Would love a worm farm, so may need to look into the sexual appetite we could have from the juice and then give a sexual appetite to the worms via the fibre. Dont think we could drink that much juice  Could freeze the juice and use it in cooking.

Hi Hopefulls,

If it hasn't gone to seed yet then just leave it in the system and pick as you need.
Mine is still going from last season and all I've done is pick of the woody stalkes every couple of weeks and throw them to the chooks. Otherwise the fresh growth goes inside for cooking and salads etc..

I'm not sure why, but I suspect it hasn't gone to seed yet because of the constant water supply, unlike trying to grow it in dirt where if I missed a days watering...woosh... off it went to seed. :)

H.

I used a heap of AP celery, parsley and spring onions to make soup today.
-Made a basic chicken stock
-Strained
-Added a heap of celery and browned spring onions
-Cooked till the celery softened
- Wizzed it all up with the hand blender
- Added blended parsley

SHREK SOUP :!:
Yummo

Yep, Tasted good.
I maybe should have reduced the stock a bit. More quality less quantity.
Ended up with about 6 liters of the stuff !
Most is in the freezer.
Not a bad effort, for a single bloke, I reckon !

Most is in the freezer.

if it is meant for freezing, leave out most of the water to make a very concentrated celery syrup
cut everything in a blender with the least water possible
can serve as soup or sauce base
you can add the water and the condiments on consumption day
