If a person is dirt gardening, there are a number of vegetables that should be rotated such as onions and brassicas. Is this also true of AP? Or, do folks have an okay time with replanting the same items in the same places in the AP system?

Its not a problem with hydroponics. Perhaps in a recirculating system it could be a problem with plants the excrete substances into the system that can build up and cause growth problems. I think most rotational planting is because of pest.

A lot of rotation is so the soils doesn't gert drainerd of certaion nutrients,, not a problem in AP ,, other reasons incluse desease's , I suppose mooving the tomatoes around may be a good idea ,, the fungus would probably be attached to the gravel??? not really sure on that one.

Rotational planting is for a few reasons. Some plants are heavy feeders and others light so a rotation from one to the other can be a good thing in soil planting. Some plants will mine or deplete the soil of certain nutrients so you don't want to always plant those in the same spot or you need to fertilize alot more. Most reasons for rotation are due to pests and diseases though.

In an AP system, the nutrient reasons for rotation probably don't apply. For pests, well, it is hard to rotate things very far in AP so I guess pest control and healthy plants will have to handle things. Some pests don't apply in AP, like soil dwelling nematodes, I hope they don't survive in AP.
