Has anyone tried Geraniums? I am specifically interested in;

Pelargonium graveolens.
Pelargonium odorantissimum

They both occur here in the Southern Cape area of South Africa and there is a lucrative market in geranium oil in the aramotherapy market. It retails for US$15 for 11ml !!!

The oil is pressed from leaves and stems.

Just a thought.

I did make one pathetic attempt but nothing to write home about, hence I kept that one to myself. But since you ask, I tend to think that these plants are not really designed to be fast growing and did not make much of a show. Pelargonium peltatum is the variety that I grew here.
