Hi, Jim here. New to the forum. I've read a few threads and noticed people looking for info on fish disease treatment. I have a file from an online source (which i don't know how to identify....I'm a computer dummy) which is a brief from a presentation given by Dr Stuart J Rowland PhD. He's the Scientist-in-Charge, NSW Fisheries, Grafton Aquaculture Centre. The presentation was given in 2007, and looks specifically at Sap and Ich treatment in Silver Perch. I'm sure people will find it useful in following an informed course of action. |

People are often interested in treatments but the key in AP systems is all treatments need to be safe for use in a human food system. It is not just the fish in an AP system but there are plants and bacteria that play an important role in the system and one must not kill them off or the whole system needs to be re-cycled.
