Are you human?: Some would say so.
Location: Kent, UK
I've got a mixed tank containing large common variety goldfish and common carp. I've had no problems for 2 years but today one of my large goldfish has started to swim on its side, floating to the top of the tank and spinning around.

Does this sound like a swim bladder problem and if so, what's the best way to treat it? I do have a spare tank and pump so I can remove it from the main tank for treatment if needed.

Thanks :)

Someone here may know but it sounds to me like it could be. I think I'd take the fish out and put him in another tank where you can raise the temperature of the water. Basically treat it like that's what it is and see how the fish does. This little blurb might be useful - http://www.wikihow.com/Fix-Swim-Bladder-Disease-in-Goldfish

What fish food are you feeding?

FYI - I don't have goldfish so take my advice on this with a grain of salt.
