So I have a relatively young system and have fought many of the typical problems a new system faces along the way.

After about 2 months of my fish living happy, healthy lives, they seem to have come down with ich. This started when the weather turned cool, guessing that may have stressed them a bit. Here's my question: What in the world do I do? I have salted the tanks, but raising the temp to levels suitable for treating ich is not an option as I simply don't have enough heater to do the job. Is there any option besides letting all the fish die little by little? I've seen some chemicals but have heared they will make the fish inedible.

My water quality is good, Ph 6.7 ish, ammonia 0, Nitrites 0, temp ranging from 52 to 60 C.

Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated!

Just keep the salt constant (what ppt is it at?). Ich has a pretty quick life span, so the salt kills them off when they try and reproduce, it won't kill the ich already on the skin/scales, but it'll kill off the newer babies before they infect the fish. But the older will die naturally.

Heating the water makes them reproduce and die quicker, but it'll still work in colder water.

Just be patient with it, and you'll be right.
