Hi guys I have 15 silver perch fingerlings in an ibc setup which have been of their food for nearly 2 weeks. I was just wondering if there was a reason for this as before this they where eating ravenously. The temperature in the ibc is around 21 degrees and the PH has not changed, so i was wondering if you guys could suggest what the reason might be? I am feeding them 3mm skretting pellets thanks |

Hi I have some European Perch in an IBC that are fussy feeders. Now I realise that Silver Perch are not the same family. But, they all remind me of stubborn children. You need to coax them a bit. Probably give the airplane spoon a miss. 3mm may be bit too big. Try smaller or crush them. Red worms! Like feeding a child ice cream. Recently whilst cleaning their tank I noticed that they were rising to eat small particles I had disturbed. They seemed to like moving food. I drooped in a small power head. Oh yes they like their food to move. I have no direct experience but I have read about, ‘crowding’ them to encourage group behavior. |

Hi Titus Everything is fine now i fed them yesterday and to my surprise they started eating again after nearly two weeks of fasting. I dont know why but it seems like the problem solved itself. Thanks |
