My fish are getting a white fluffy crude on their bodies. a few have died. what can I do?

Could be a fungal infection? I think I've read on here that you salt to 6ppt, but you might want to search the forum just to be sure.

what kind of fish?
what are your water parameters?

hoping not to step on anyone's toes here!!!!
stop salting your systems the moment you have a problem.
salting in ap has only been adopted from very rudimentary freshwater aquaculture and even there it is only ever undertaken in offline "hospital tanks" and not in the main rearing system!

i concur, seems to be the go-to response for just about everything whether or not its been proven to help.
