This is weird.

A single Koi about 15cm bought in with 5 others and put in with other Koi and baby perch about 3-4 weeks ago. He is one on the smallest Koi - others are 30-40cm but they all seem friendly.
Noticed this one only for some weeks is always upside down. But gills are moving and he swims around and eats, so assumed he would come good.
This morning found him like this. Seriously looks like bad radiation burn - the skin has just peeled off leaving red flesh. The tail is destroyed and he was hardly moving.
Put him in the small yabbie tank thinking he was a gonner and would make a special treat for them. But added a bit of salt to the tank anyway.
This arvo he is still swimming around upside down, looking a little more lively - but still very wrong.
The red flesh has grown a cover of light brown "fluff".
All the rear scales have gone.

All the other fish are happy and healthy. Now they have 24-26C water I cant feed them enough - even the Barra are out and about instead of shivering in the corner.

System is approx 2ppm salt, Ph 7.6 +/- 0.5, NH4 and NO2 and NO3 negligible to low, oxygen would be near saturation with the amount of bubbles I have.
No visible issues with any others.

Could be three things at the same time, the swimming or floating upside down could be a swim bladder disorder, the radiation burn could very well have been an ulcer and now with its immune system severely attacked,a fungal disease just to make sure. In any case it is kinder now to dispatch it to the great Koi Pond in the sky.
