Hi All,

I'm going to buy 6-10 Comet Goldies to add to my test system with my SP next week as i lost most of my SP due to a pump issue :-(

I have a Fluval edge tank that i was going to use quarantine them. Could someone advise me how i should be doing this as i dont want to kill them and/or not actually quarantine them and still introduce potential issues to my actual tank.

I read somewhere 10ppt salt for itch but is this also suitable for a general quarentine?
Also, should i still be running the normal Fluval Edge Filter or take it out and only use it to cycle water?

Thanks for the advice :-)

10ppt salt baths are reserved for fish with severe bacterial/fungal problems.... yes you could treat severe cases of "Ich" by a slat bath as well...

But generally 3ppt is all that is required for Ich... leave for 2 weeks... (so yes you will need to run the filter)
