Ah yes after a google search it has to be that. So whats the best way to treat it if it rears its ugly head again, is there anything other than salt that I can add that won't affect vegetables?

Also should I be leaving the tank at 6ppt salt until the tank has finished cycling and then water changes to bring the salt down?
