No idea what this is. Other fish in the tank are fine, this one died in two day. Readings are Ph 6.4 Am .25 Ni 0 Na 80 Temp 26 Have two tanks. Moved five fish to an IBC with 700 ltr five days ago. They are not eating as much but they are more exposed so hide when I feed them. Fish in other tank on thier food. Have fed some worms but dont think this is an issue as GB have had worms in there from day one. They ususally get BYAP 5mm pellets. System is 2200 ltr and is 3 months old with now 19 SP. He was 250 grm and was alive but struggling this morning. ![]() ![]()

Im only guessing but it looks like ammonia poisoning, you sure about your amm test Badger? or maybe some other poisoning of some kind, usually they bleed from gills etc from internal trauma via poisoning or otherwise. Cat? Bird? Dunno... |

Ammonia. Reading was taken from that tank. Lots of air going into it for o2. Tank has a lid on it. Looks like he lost allot of scales on one side.will see if any others are affected. The grate covering the lid is galv wire. Would a bit of rain on that be enough to poison? |

scales missing....hmmm, could be infection. I would salt bath them to be on the safe side, shock bath them at 6ppt for an hour every couple of days for 2 weeks or so, it may sound extreme but lets face it - its not much trouble if you loose the lot. I keep my system at a constant 3ppt and have never had any parasitic or itch issues. Do you have any salt in the system? |

Consider salting to 2ppT or 2kg salt per 1000 liters of water. |

Lol. Have just salted the 2 ppm and then saw your post Earthen. ll other fish seem very alert and none near the surface so I decided to go just to 2ppm. We will see what happens. |

Dose them up with the 2 kg, the plants will be fine with it (stawbs struggle a bit). 2mg/L will have no effect on the issue.. |
