I have an "Ich" outbreak. I've already salted to 3 ppt ,and it seems to be worse.I'm thinking of salting the whole system to 6 ppt. Is this the best course ? The larger rainbows were flashing a week ago and have stopped ,but the smaller brook trout seem to be covered with little white spots now.
Would i stress them out by salt bathing them and then returning them to the tank numerous times ? or does the whole system need to be dose heavily?

As far as salt goes I've been using sea salt for salt water fish tanks but its $$$$$$
When I was at the local big box store they had water softener salt ,but it was large peanut size salt nuggets. As long as it is solar deydrated salt the size shouldn't matter ? I also know there shouldn't be any other additives as well. I'm in the States is there a brand over here that anybody uses ?

Just get pool salt. Our walmart carries 100% pure salt in 50lb bags.
