Yes a few lucky people have pulled it off. If you provide enough air circulation to the water then that adds back the saturation of oxygen to the warmer water. I know of people that have pulled it off like you say with much warmer water. I really don't advise anyone to try it, especially someone new to AP, but it can be done!

Yes, it can be done.... if the summer weather is like this year, and relatively cool... and if, and if...

But Kevyre's comment is really relevant....

The fish will be under considerable stress.... and your whole system on a knife edge....

And certainly shouldn't be suggested as either a common practice to adopt... or a practice for someone new to aquaponics...

We do have a duty of care to the fish in our systems... and there are groups who would hold aquaponics to question if large amounts of fish kills were seen to be atrributed to advise that was contrary to acceptable practice and duty of care...
