Hey i have done a search and nothing seems to be popping up.
I have some Silver perch fingerlings roughly 75 - 100mm and want to get some real food for them instead of this cichlid food i was given. what size do i feed them.
Looking at the BYAP shop they have 4mm but i would think thats too big yeah?

Well from recent memory, I think BYAP stocks 3mm, 5mm and a few size bigger... I think the BYAP Online Shop does not tell the truth sometimes (in fact of late, maybe most of the time)... EB has been slack at updating the Online Shop...

Call BYAP shop and ask instead...

I would suggest getting the 3mm and crush some up if you need to... don't need to specifically look for 1mm pellets ... I think they are harder to find... but at 100mm, I don't think they are far off from taking the 3mm pellets...

A 2 mm pellet would be better through winter.. as they wont eat or grow much anyway.... move to a 3 mm pellet after Xmas..

That sounds really harsh.

Sorry BW2, maybe I should word it a bit differently. Anyways EB knows that I have been giving him complaints abt the online shop not being updated.

1mm feed is a hell of a lot more expensive than 3mm, according to Troutman !

I only ever used 4mm feed, even when they were fingerlings. Didnt seem to bother the trout. Have to crush some up for silvers though, I just put some through a blender.

When I first got my Barra they were 60mm long and loved 2 to 4mm pellets. No worries at all.
