:dontknow: Gday guys
with all the rain in perth lately our system is overflowing
do we drain it down strait away ? and is it much of a drama if we dont ?

Hi Red Beard
Had a bit of rain in the Alice this year and have had the same thing with an over flowing pond
I don't see it as a problem If the system is still ticking along nicely I wouldn't be draining off any water, just look at it as bonus: free water!

Well yes, during the rainy season, I don't bother with the overflow water as the moment I drain some off, a couple of days later it is overflowing again...

But you have to make sure that there is some sort of tank cover/net over the system otherwise the fishes will be overflowing too...

Yep, hate it when fish overflow as they don't fall out of the sky nearly so often and are rarely still alive when they do.
