Here is a video of my Black Soldier Fly Harvester.

Since that was made I have had pretty good success with attracting the BSF. My harvester is full of larvae. The harvester ramps weren't doing well at first. To help the larva "find" the ramps I put some plastic that I cut from the sides/corners of a milk jug between the ramps. Now I've had a few find their way into the harvester jar.

My 10 year old son did the video... pretty good huh? 8)

Hi D.K.
Looks good. I have been looking at the commercially available units. Expensive ! I guess you have seen them. What angle are the ramps? I recall the store bought as being about 35 degrees. Have you had any luck?
Cheers,
Neil

my maggots are maturing and starting up the ramps. I got my largest harvest yesterday of about 25.

The ramps are about 35 to 40 degrees. I do plan on building a larger, better harvester but this one is doing pretty well :thumbleft:
