So I happened to be researching crawfish, and I came upon this link:
http://www.marbledcrayfish.com/care.htm

The marbled crayfish "does not need a partner at all to reproduce (they reproduce parthogenically)"
They are "mostly" vegetarian and grow and reproduce quickly.

What do you think about raising these to feed our fish?
An underwater black soldier fly alternative?

Looks like you found the search button...It is better to resurrect an old thread to keep the info grouped togather than start a new thread. Most of us committed this crime at least once! The more you use the search button the more you appreciate like topics with few threads.
BTW welcome to the forum!

I'm a bit wary about these... because of their reproductive method... they've been listed as an "invasive" species throughout Europe...
