In the past I used to throw silver beet leaves in my tanks for both fish and yabbie feed, problem was it would float to the top and block outlets, filters ect too quickly. What I now do is shove some of the silver beet into the 25mm PVC that is used for smaller yabbie hides.
Seems to be working well

My Yabbies love pieces of sweet potato, potato, carrot (and leaves), zucchini leaves. They have also consumed nectarines - but you must remove whatever is left nectarines after a few hours - they go very soft and soggy. I remove any leftover potato and carrots when they float - zucchini leaves and carrot leaves are removed every few days.
Juvenile Yabbies love sweet corn and peas - do not have to remove as totally consumed!!!
