I'm testing an API 7 day fish pyramid. I put it in the tank and it sank to the bottom. This was about 3 or 4 days ago, and it hasn't changed at all! Good thing I tested this before I go on vacation later this year. The package says it dissolves quicker in acidic water and slower in base water. Just how high of an indication is this of my water ph? The API pH test I have only goes up to 7.6. Has anybody else tried these? Is the Top Fin brand weekend feeders better?

On a side note, my frozen oatmeal cubes lasted about 4 days. But I don't think the fish were eating it every day. I did have to smash it a little on the 2nd or 3rd day to help break it up so the fish knew they could eat it. (just oatmeal, water, heated as instructions say, and frozen in ice cube trays). I've only put one in so far, will have to test another one and see how they do with that now that they've had one already.

Well it has been about 2 weeks now and as of this morning, there is about 5-10% of it left. The frozen oatmeal cubes seem to do a better job. :)

I just got some little battery powered fish feeders for the aquariums since I can put their normal food in them.
I've looked at the dissolving blocks and such but none of them last long enough for my situations.

The big tanks I got pet feeders for.

I'm sure it works great. (unless you have a 10 gallon tank :) )
