hi i have been raising silver perch for twelve years. I have decided to change to barra. can i supplement their feed with roadkill, feral cats etc? |

Bump, no really sure, I'm guessing the barra would make good dim sims when you harvest. I'd even consider the neighbours cat to save on transport

25% of world fisheries bi catch is used for pet food, i just want to address that imbalance. my town is plagued by cats i am just uncertain if i could use them as fodder, not in the legal sense but in a nutritional context. |

I think it is worth a try. I personnally would like to know it is recent road kill, your nose and eyes would solve that, then meat grinder. I'd give it a crack but i swim in my fish tank. |

plenty of fresh road kill around here, i too swim in my 10000 lt fish tank. what do tank raised barra taste like compared to wild caught? |

Not sure. Too cold over winter for barra where i'm at. So i stick with silvers and yellowbelly. Want to try tandus, but worried about their posionious spines. |
