I'm starting some tilapia soon and I'd like to grow some duckweed for them in my sump. Where do you get duckweed, though? Or should I try Spirulina as well? Where would one get that? Does Spirulina clog a pump? If someone has some they're willing to ship, I'd pay for it. THX |

Probably can just go to a local pond and find some, just watch for gators and other critters - https://plants.ifas.ufl.edu/plant-directory/spirodela-polyrhiza/, https://plants.ifas.ufl.edu/plant-directory/lemna-valdiviana/. The Lemna species are the ones most people use but the spirodela one used to be in Lemna (according to wickepedia)and has been used for feeds in Africa according to this - http://www.ecy.wa.gov/programs/wq/plants/plantid2/descriptions/spipol.html |
