Instead of using calcium or potassium to bring the ph up why dont people use the water from the offline mineralisation tank since the ph gets higher or is my assuption wrong

How many fingers do we need to count member systems with an offline MT? :D

It would be neat to have a fairly detailed survey of all the member systems and their
characteristics. Folks might find that 80% are doing something one way with success
that would benefit the 20% having trouble doing it some other way. At least folks
could compare techniques a little better. Nobody has a research assistant they could
let loose on the the 2837 threads in the Members Systems forum to analyze the ideas
presented and their effectiveness as self-reported by members?

I don't mean to slight offline MT systems. I just haven't seen them mentioned much.

yep almost no one uses them is one good reason.

the other reason would be; what makes you think PH goes up in a MT when the same processes make it go down in within the AP system???

Possibly because there is a difference between aerobic and anaerobic however I am rather interested in why someone who is very new to the forum is asking all sorts of unusual (for a newcomer) questions in multiple new threads. :)

Well that's one theory on life etc Yav; I am afraid I am rather more cynical. If they have a system or even a proposed system or even tell us they are gathering information for a proposed system, I can accept that.
This hasn't been like that so. :)

Clearly H4L is a Flat Earth Society member implant trying to gather damaging data to be used against
us by dirt farmers everywhere! Watch out! Next thing you know we'll all be forced to use rain on unclean
dirt in the ground for our gardening efforts... and fish? Well, we'll have to catch them in lakes and
streams, the sea, etc. I've got all sorts of plans for using gravity in aquaponics... We must shut down
this rebellious line of thinking inmediatamente!

lol i looked at the dudes posts and cant find anything "bad" like you guys think.... just a guy who doesnt know about AP and is trying to learn, but also is coming up with ideas instead of being a "good little student" who sits there and reads all the books first.... he doesnt seem any different to me when i first started posting....

Think that was just me Yav (and I was going to be a little impolite about you when you first started but I have avoided getting Moderated for ages). :lol:

And as the Secretary for the Flat Earth Society I would certainly know one of our members; it's very exclusive. :)

mineralization fish waste will bring calcium and potassium content higher won't this bring the ph up

Adding Potassium hydroxide or Calcium hydroxide will increase the pH, due to the hydroxide ion, OH- . I don't think that's what happens in a MT.
