Hi there, I am planning out a system and I found this feed on Amazon and was wondering if anyone has tried it. I looked through the ingredients and it doesn't have everything I want (preferably I could just use the feed and never have to supplement with KCl, Chelated Iron or Seasol any more frequently than once every month). Here is the link there are apparently four 'stages' depending on fish size: 1 'fingerling' - http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BZ3G578/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=8KUTTT3OH6QI&coliid=I3CB78PFV0S9AQ 2 'juvenile' - http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BZ4VU0O/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_img?_encoding=UTF8&colid=8KUTTT3OH6QI&coliid=I35Z4BYEF9ZERQ 3 'Intermediate' - http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BZ664HQ/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_S_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=8KUTTT3OH6QI&coliid=IEAS6V743D9WF 4 'Grow Out' http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BZ71LNW/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=8KUTTT3OH6QI&coliid=I176YWD0Q1BJ98 Anyone have an thoughts about this? Suggestions of diferent brands? I was going to hunt around for a local aquaponics / pet shop and try and find some alternatives (that didn't require shipping). I plan on initially using some goldfish from the pet shop with eventually transitioning to Tilapia. |

Its sold by Aquaponics Source so it would be a reputable product. Price seems on par with other products. |

I have been using the Juvenile size Aquanourish for the last week. I have 4 guppies, 5 gold fish and 30 channel catfish and they all love it. For a floating feed the feed does not float for very long, after a few minutes a majority of the feed starts to sink. The plus side is that this feed is so small and light that it gets pulled right into the SLO and gets picked up by the filters. One thing I did was place the feed in several ziplock bags and stored them in the freezer, this way I only have a small amount on the shelf and the rest is kept fresh in the freezer. So far it seems to be a great product. |

Even if the food had everything you might still have to use some supplements depending on your pH. Purina has a line of fish feed that might be an option. I've seen smaller quantities for sale on ebay. |
