Farmer had relatively low ammonium levels and relatively high nitrite levels. After a power outage, all the fish died. I treated the waste water with biofloc technology.

Volume = 30,000 liter
pH = 8.0
NH3/NH4+ = 2 ppm
NO2- = 5 ppm
DO = 5.0

Treatment was to double the aeration to roughly 200 watts, remove the mechanical filtration, and slowly add 4.2 kg of molasses. End result:

DO = 6.0
TAN = 0
NO2- = 0
pH = 7.8
FV = 10 ml / L

30,000 liters of 10ml / L floc = 300 liters of floc.
Molasses was bought in a 5 gallon bucket for $32.25. Molasses weighs about 12 lb/gallon. 60 lb. molasses is approx. 27.22 kg. 4.2kg / 27.22 kg * $32.25 = $4.98.

So... 30,000 liters of fish waste was converted to 300 liters of approx. 35% protein fish food for $4.98.
