I couldn't catch the 2 largest fish...even after lowering water. These are 2 of the next sized. Made a nice meal for the 5 of us. 3 fillets with crab meat and sushi/sushimi for the daughter & I. Thanks for whoever mentioned drawing down water in tank to aid in the capture process. Feel I would still be out there had I not drained water down. lol

Nice harvest, well done. Looks like a tasty meal. Have never tried sushi/sushimi with my own fish. Will have to give it a try Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Hiya coach, nice work, looks like a tasty feed. How about some details? How old were they? What was their start/finish weight? Length? |

They were fingerling..1-2" when I started system. Appx 10.5" long, don't know undressed weight. I have a1 lb scale and they were heavier then that. Fillets weighed about 3. oz each. The biggest ones should be closer to 12" and 4-5 oz fillets. Hopefully, I'll figure out a way to capture them next harvest. Amazing how crafty they are at avoiding the nets. Thinking about fishing for them with small hooks and pre-drilled fish food. The biggest are also the bullies when it comes to eating. |

Catching fish in the stock tank. If you haven't tried this method may help allot. Using shade clothe as large as the tank and enough to go down to the bottom and up again. Attach the cloth on one end, clamps will work, slowly pull the cloth under the fish and up the opposite side. Now using a PVC pipe slide it under the cloth on one end and pull it across the tank all the fish will be in a few inches of water and with a fish net you can select and harvest the ones you want. |
