Hi all.

I've got some very small Murray Cod (30mm-40mm). I got them in yesterday, and I've only found one dead (out of 50), so I'm happy with that, but they are very shy, and they seem to have found lots of hiding spaces.

I've got to wean them onto pellets, so I've been putting blood worms in the tank (I really should have created a nursery to keep them in, but too late now). I saw one game one sneak out for a second and grab one, then disappear again. I kept checking, and the blood worms seem to be disappearing, so they are eating.

But how often should I feed them so they'll grow quickly?

And how much should I be giving them (currently on bloodworms)?

Thanks.

At that small size I think you'd want to be feeding at least twice a day.

It's hard to get them on pellets if they've been on blood worms. I'd try crushing some 3mm Skrettings pellets (I crack them with the back of a spoon so they break into 3 or 4 pieces) and dropping a few in with the blood worms, then gradually increase the amount of pellets and decrease the amount of worms.
