I need to get an automatic feeder and recommendations are appreciated. I want to be able to control portions and feeding frequency. It will be outdoors so it should be weatherproof and raccoon proof. It is for a 300 gal tank. Thanks, Stephen Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk HD |

For those fairly new to aquaponics, you are probably better off NOT having an automated feeder, Feed them manually, then you know exactly how much they are eating. |

I got one of these it was only $22.90 holds about 2 spoons of 3mm pellets. I feed my fish in the morning before leaving for work and when I get home. but this unit gives them a little snack 4 times a day.

I've tried a few. I don't think the one above would survive very long outside. The one's I'm using now are http://www.petmountain.com/product/pond ... r-p21.html? utm_source=googleproductads&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term={keyword}&gclid=CImH4J6557oCFXBo7Aod7GkAWg They work OK - I only use them when we're on Winter break here at school. I agree it's hard to beat hand feeding so you know who's eating. |
