I have an endless supply of oysters through my work. So naturally I thought, hey would my goldfish and Tilapia eat oyster meat? Today was my first trial with this. I have 20 goldfish and 5 Tilapia. I fed them 8oz. of oyster scrap meat, and they ate it up like it was candy. I also supplement their diet with duckweed.

I'll continue to post updates on any impacts on nitrite & nitrate levels.

Anyone have any experience feeding their freshwater fish, saltwater creatures?

Ive fed my SP prawn during the winter months because they go off the pellet. If you want optimal fish and plant health and growth you will need to primarily use pelletised aquaculture feed. It is formulated with all the goodies your system requires.
