Growing up, I had an auntie that was Vegan... and used Brewer's Yeast as her protein substitute... it tasted awful... but it is a high quality protein.

You Aussies that grew up on Vegemite can attest to the nutrition part... I don't like the flavor... but it could be that the things Nay used to mask it just got trashed by the taste of the brewer's yeast...
Since Fish really don't have highly tuned taste buds, I don't think they'll care.

I don't approve of Soy as a substitute... mostly because the soy here is GMO'd, and I don't approve of GM. Breeding, yes... adding fish genes to my tomatoes... not so much.

They did mention the use of ORGANIC soybean meal, which by definition is not GMO.

Are you sure?? I thought it only meant that pesticide and petroleum based fertilizers were not used... Hm.

Organic definitely means no GM. Fortunately, organic soy is still available here in Australia... I use it to make my own soy milk, and wont go near GM soy.
