I have 28 Silver Perch and I am feeding them 1- 2 handfuls of feed per day, and I think they would eat all day if I gave it to them. They go after it quickly. Can someone advise me on how much is best for them? Thanks, Linda |

Hi Linda I also have silver perch in my system and I feed them twice a day. I stop feeding them when the fish lose interest and the food starts to settle on the bottom of the tank. As my silvers grow very little in winter I am keen to feed them as much as they will eat in the warmer months. Cheers Joey |

I have twenty five silvers and they have been livig happily on two eggs a day for the last week as I have ran out of pellets . |

My silvers are ruffly 10 cm smallest to 15 at the largest . The water has been crystal clear , also as a result of the egg in the water I believe . |

My SP,s are also 10..15 cm.s. I am feeding twice a day, a handful each time, and I think they would eat more. Worried about over feeding? Linda |

I cant see a problem if they are eating it and your amm/nitrite readings are good. What are your test results showing? |

My question is at the other end of the spectrum. I have 25 SP all just less than 100mm and the tank is new (3 weeks) and the water has gone green. I want to clean it up so I need to know what is the minimum I can feed the lieele fellas without stressing them out, just till things establish themselves. So the question is "How many grams per fingerling per day minimum for SP" And that would be metric grams not imperial |

If you're tanks gone algael... don't feed them at all.... cover the tank, aerate and/or pump continuously... Once the algae has gone.. then you can start feeding them again.. |
