although i am a chemical engineer i am comletely new to this line. i wish to start a pond type fish business next to the seacoast in india.
1.the pond size may be 30 ft in diameter about 50 ft away from the sea shore line
2.it will be covered with a aluminium wire netting of fine mesh on which there will be 50 chickens
3.in addtion to the chicken poop can we throw in leftover food daily from a restaurent. yes/no
4.from a nearby toilet how many persons humans feces can be let into the pond without causing harm?
5.in addition what low value daily caught fish what other feed can be thrown into the pond & how many kilos
6. how many fingerling of indian salmon bred in a separate pond can be put into this 30 ft round pond
7. will pumping in continous seawater into the pond during the daytime remove the fish feces from the pond & reduce diseases & increase production
8.how much time will it take to grow the fingerlings to fullgrown fish & what will be the minimum expected harvest in kilos
9. the depth of the mud pond should be be 3 ft or more
10.should we provide airation or not since there will be a contious flow of seawater
11. any info that you can give for which i will be very grateful

i'd avoid the people and chicken poop going into the pond
salmon would need a high protein diet you won't get from plants.. you need a high quality fish food

Are you talking about this fish - eleutheronema tetradactylum (Blue Threadfin, salmon, blue salmon, colonial salmon, kingfish to you Aussies)? There isn't much information on culture of this fish that I could find although I'm sure it's probably just in other languages or under a different name.

It sounds like you're really trying to start up an Aquaculture business which is different from Aquaponics but someone here might be able to point you in the right direction for help.

I think you could use the poop to grow some kind of fish food (maggots, worms, ...)

poop into system to feed fish and then into sea....????
