| Post subject: | Skretting trout pellet order for Melbourne. |
Hello As I am running out of food quickly due to the large amount those hungry trout are eating, I will be placing an order from Skretting for trout pellets in the next couple of days. The minimum shipping costs from Tassie are high (about $70) to Melbourne, and there are definite economies of scale. For instance, it costs about the same to ship 4 X 20kg bags as it does for one. If anyone in or near to Melbourne (VIC, not Florida) would like to go in on an order, PM me and I will make the arrangements. I don't want to have to break up 20kg bags, so it will need to be in that increment. It is about $38 per 20kg bag plus the shipping component which will be split equally between the number of bags ordered. Thanks |

$38 a 20kg bag! Sold, I'll take one. Is it the good stuff with the betta caretene? Is that including the shipping? Have you got your figures right? 5mm?? |

The food comes in 20kg bags, so it is which ever type you want. The Spectra product is the typical one that is used, and it comes in whatever size you want that they make. It is about $38/bag, and the shipping is on top of that and is about $70 for 1-4 bags. The shipping will be split evenly across the order. So, if we got 4 people to order one bag each, that would be $38 plus $17.50 for each person. The more that we buy, the cheaper the per bag shipping costs are. |

$38 a bag... that's cheaper than wholesale from Ridleys... way cheaper... Think I might have to talk to Skreetings.... You sure that's not a 10kg bag...??? Still cheap even if it is.... |

I see the topic thread says.... "pellet order".... are you sure that price isn't a "pallet" price... i.e a minimum 25 bags/pallet... still a bloody good price even then.... |

The Skretting trout pellets for small orders (minimum of one 20kg bag) is $1.69/kg plus GST plus shipping. Bulk would be cheaper still I imagine. The down side is that it can take up to 3 weeks for them to ship depending where they are in the packaging/shipping cycle. The majority of what they sell is local to them in Tassie, so that is their main focus. |

Are you able to confirm the feed type you had been looking at, was it the Nova-FF? Is there a link to the prices or were they verbal prices? I'm in Tassie and I might be on an old pricing schedule cause that's not what I've been paying! |
