Post subject:  Automatic fish feeders

Has anyone tried any automatic fish feeders that they are happy with? I have so far tried a couple, and both, while sounding good on paper, didn't really cut it for various reasons.

I find that the fish will eat a lot of food if they are feed every couple of hours during the day. If they are only fed a couple of times a day, they will only eat about half as much. As it is not possible to always be home to feed them manually at these intervals, an automatic feeder makes perfect sense. If they work well that is.

I am hopeful that someone out there has found a robust, affordable and flexible feeder that:
-holds several kgs of food
-is waterproof
-can be set to feed when desired
-can be set to feed different portions
-works for various sized pellets
-battery operated

I can post pictures and brand of the feeders I have tried if that is permitted on the forum?

Thanks

I would be worried about another moving part that can go wrong.

Feeding more is good, but is there a point in which more fold does not equate to more growth?

Google Koi Chef, and PM Rupert of OZ to see if he still sells his big feeders.
