here is an update!!!

took a look inside the pod this arvo and was greeted with some 'food'

it has been cold so i expected things to take a lot longer, but i am thrilled with the progress!!!

thought i'd take a look inside the harvest tub tonight (the bit that the maggots fall into) and lo and behold i saw movement.

after a bit of mucking around i had my first clean harvest.

yeah i counted them as i was curious as to how many the system produced in six days

I am pretty sure these guys are the common house fly, perfect size for trout and chooks
