Oh and thanx for the thiosulphate post elsewhere, i knew it was the main component but didn't think of buying it in bulk. and i see its handy to have incase you get cyanide poisoning ;)

Steve...just wondering whether you bought a berley or sausage mincer...or if they are the same thing. I noticed in ebay that the berley ones have 8mm and 6mm plates. Also, did you get a cast iron one?

Thanks mate

gav:)

Not so sure on the preservative.... remember 'aquaholic' was chatting about them at some stage. Will have an ask around for ya.
Yep those of us with eX's always have a dechlorinator on hand as an antidote lol.
If you need the really goochey dechlorinator try buy bulk amquel... can be tricky to find but usually works out alright in the amount:$ ratio

I remember doing my first 10,000L water change. Dechlorinated by throwing a few handfuls of the ST in there..... mission accomplished heh heh.
Don't need to remind a pioneer that P stands for plenty
