I raised some SP for the last 9 months on sinking food and have recently tried to go to floating pellets (from BYAP).

Problem is they won't take them from the surface and usually wait untill they sink after a few days.. I'm concerned that this is going to affect their growth as I'm not feeding every day..

So questions...

Will they eventually learn?

Any strategies to encourage them like witholding feed for a week?

I'm stumped :dontknow:

Cheers,

Mix the sinking and floating pellets... adding more floating/less sinking pellets.. over a week...

Or just starve them... they'll learn...

To get back on track, my silvers learnt to eat floating after sinking and even the catfish graze the surface

If you get real desperate put in some goldfish or Koi that would be a bit more open to eating from the surface... the SP will soon learn.

Cool thanks for all your replies. It's been about a month since the switch and they still aren't onto it... I'll persevere
