Hi Johnnie7,

I use mulberry leaves all the time for my tilapia. They absolutely love them.... even eat the bark when I throw in branches to give the fingerlings hiding places.... and those branches "take" right there in the water. Still got leaves on even in early winter and for 2 seasons even produced a few berries! I will probably grow some around the new dam when completed.

I find they do take grape vine leaves but not as readily as the mulberry. What kind of fish do you have?

I am raising Moringa for them and other livestock too.... dry weight is pretty good protein.

White Stinkwood leaves are taken too... beautiful tree in all seasons... one of my favourites. The tiny berries when ripe are yellow and very sweet so they might take those too... will see.

Am at the moment looking into lupin seed as part of the mix for a homemade feed to fish. High protein. Got some white lupins sprouted but will have to work on pH in their planting area cos like neutral to acid. So building up with sheet mulch over cardboard.. permaculture style .... and will plant them there. Wonderful at fixing nitrogen to the soil too... as well as beautiful....so many benefits.
