I'm very surprised to hear that. The Brook Trout, both wild and from the hatcheries, are much less tolerant regarding DO and temperature than Rainbow Trout around here. I tried my hand at Rainbows and couldn't make a go of it because of water temperature. The Rainbows also tend to a more aggressive and inquisitive temperament than the Brook Trout. Of course, different continent and different fish stocks so I'm not sure it's a fair comparison. I have a beautiful brook that runs behind my house and it has a lot of Brook Trout, both native and stocked.

So...bundy, after running an entire season with booth brook and rainbow, care to give a summary of your experiences? Figures like tanks size and stocking density might also help to determine any bias :)
