I'm looking for some fingerlings (or bigger:)) for my first system and im hoping to find something in the next week or 2. Im reading that supplies are short for most things however im hoping to stock with ither trout or silvers and a few yabbies (joogies) for my sump. Can anyone in the know point me to where i might find 20 - 30 ish fish and/or a handful of yabbies. Id even be happy just getting half a dozen of anything just to get the ball rolling. if there's nothing i guess ill just have to wait a couple of months and try again I appreciate any guidance. And for your help ill even post some picks of my slapped together IBC setup |

I doubt that is helpful Obo ![]() Maybe you have just been spoilt, goldfish and koi seem higher priced to me? I will keep you posted if I hear anything Merrick, I am asking around. |

Thankyou. When i was a kid we used to catch yabbies in the river with fuse wire and a stick... If all else fails take it back to the oldschool. I might take the kids out to golden ponds for a look the next couple of days anyway. |

Mate I bought half a doz from GP last year to get my ball rolling and they were fine for the purpose. Having said that I wont be getting them from there again , but if you are stuck just do it |

I have got SP and Trout from Golden Ponds and been happy with the price and service there. I dont know why Golden Ponds cop such a bad rap . I paid $5 each for my trout which were of various sizes from about 150mm to 200mm. I only bought 7 so the outlay was not much. If you are only buying small amounts then of course you will pay more. I would recomend Golden Ponds from my personal experiance. |

And the amount if dead fish in the tanks is disgusting. I tested their water when I got my barra and all tests were off the scales. |

It's not factual at all, it's a point of view.. There are plenty of places that charge high prices, their's is by no means the highest. I've bought fish from them many times and never had any troubles. They do cop an extremely bad rap on here. |

When you get quoted $8 a fish for 50mm silver perch at a quantity of 100 I can understand the rep they have just on prices alone. That was a while back when I first started my system. Thankfully I found out about Troutman. |

Plenty of people bought cheap silvers from GP last year, under 50c each, we bought a couple of hundred and had no problems.. |
