my system is pretty small, so I'll probly want under 10 fish, is there any problems associated with buying fish straight from local aquariums? apart from price? |

The only issue with fish from pet stores is disease, if you aren't going to eat them you could do preventative treatment then put them in the AP system not using the water you treated them in. Or, at a minimum put them in salted water before putting them in the system (search the forum for amounts) the change in saline can kill off some parasites. |

do not buy fosh from your local aquarium shop if you want to eat them. most of the chamicals they add to the water to make the fish look good, kepp 'healthy' etc are carcinogenetic |

Where in Mel are you? If your only after 10, I have rainbow trout, silver perch, catfish. Also have mussels and yabbies. We can work something out if you want. |
