Yep...... worked a treat, big legal size BB... But I was told a few years later that it's actually illegal to do it, something about needing a license to collect them and take them home live. It's ok to kill them and take them home, but not live... Or something like that......

And if anyone catches you with the esky and bubbler, with live BB on the jetty, just tell them your keeping them fresh... No law against that. |

RB, I have read a few people are keeping them together. Not sure what size though. I found a spot yesterday around the corner that was full of em. |

Yup, speak to CD about it - he's across the (il)legalities of it. My only concern would be the transition from salt to less than 5ppt, and of course, parasites and other nasties. Would definitely be worth isolating them for a bit before chucking em in with your current fish stock. |

I transitioned mine in just a few minutes, maybe 15 minutes or so and they seemed fine... |

We are pretty far up the river here, Not sure there is much salt. |

Post note: I transitioned my 100mm BB in a lil over 1/2 hour or so. But they were from an aquaculture tank. Hopefully it wouldn't stress out a larger fish. But, with the state of the Upper Swan, I'd suggest most AP would be a safer haven for them anyway! |

I believe that to collect and put into ap would be illegal, but I personally don't see anything wring with it asking as you don't exceed the bag limits?? |
