None of our systems have lids and none go green, at least not when they are mature. New systems do but not these older ones. |

Both Barra and Cod... are ambush feeders... and both have big mouths... If either has a mouth bigger than the other... then they'll probably eat the other... |

Overall it's probably best not to mix species, especially not aggressive ones... This doesn't mean you can't, but you can have more issues when you mix them. |

I found my first batch of SP to be extremely hardy. They travelled 700km by road and have been moved from FT to FT about 6 times in the last year, they have had petrol poured in their FT, they fight through our freezing winters and blistering summers, they had to co-habitate with trout for a number of months and finally survived the great power outagage of 2011. 7 hours without aeration. Dam these boys are tough. Not sure about Barra sorry. |
