Even though gonna have more air pumps and filter. but this is not the point.
To make it more sustainable a friend of my group asked if there's any way to turn simple scraps to healthy fish food! Ideas? (btw the fish species gonna be guppies since its just a way of showing that it works)

try searching BSF larvae farms, worm farms the worminator (thats a recent one)
you might struggle if your guppies are real small

Yeah, if you're trying to feed guppies you're going to have to process and dehydrate the worms, BSF larvae, duckweed, and whatever else you come up with to make it small enough.

Don't let that dissuade you - keen to see what you come up with. You're definitely going to need something like worms or BSF larvae to bio-accumulate the protein from the scraps as very few plants have a significant protein concentrations. Duckweed is one of the exceptions but is not enough on it's own as it's amino acid profile has a couple of deficiencies.
